Delray Beach is located in Palm Beach County. The city, like many other Florida towns, has a tropical rainforest climate. Rainy days are frequent, but the sunny times are just are prevalent and the temperature is warm all year long.

When you visit any part of Florida, you will likely want to participate in a little shopping. The downtown portion of this town is the retail and cultural hub of the community. In 2009, the downtown arts district expanded to feature more galleries and cultural organizations. These galleries and other businesses have existed for over 20 years on side streets, but now they are centrally located in one area so visitors can easily access them together.

This wonderful city has many fun cultural events throughout the year such as the Delray Affair. This three day street fair happens in the arts district every year and features a lot of local artwork, music, food and crafts.

The Delray Beach Garlic Fest is another fun event that happens the second weekend in February each year. This three-day event takes place on Old School Square, a historic area that holds former school buildings that no longer operate as educational institutes.

The city also hosts Art and Jazz on the Avenue six times a year and the Gallery Walk on Friday nights when visitors can walk through the downtown galleries, enjoy refreshments and other special events like music and specific exhibits.

When you are in Florida, you will want to take a look at as much natural beauty as you can. The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens has plenty of that beauty.
